Of all the inner virtues important to the development of our Christlikeness, I believe that thankfulness is one of the most neglected ,and underrated. Thankfulness has little to do with how much we own. A heart of gratitude is based instead on an understanding of the source of our spiritual and emotional riches. All we require in order to cultivate a grateful heart, is a little bit of time. Time to reflect on the out pouring of Christ's love that is evident in our lives. Thanksgiving is not just a holiday..it is a holy way of life. It is a new perspective, that guards us from greed and self centeredness, that tenderizes our hearts and renew our minds. Everyday is Thanksgiving to those who live in God's spiritual bounty.
